Apocalypse

By Challa Bhanu Pranav

The world is not what we think it is. Somehow, it is all connected, in more ways than one.

The answer lies in plain sight, as it often is;

But overlooked, considered ordinary.

You wake up one day, not in the distant past;

To find yourself revelling in the boons of the obvious…

The same ones that you once discarded.

They come back in time and space, to show you, their power;

But alas, it’s so mighty we burn before we know what burnt us.

We come back, none the wiser, and ask once again:

“What it all is?

What it represents, and what our purpose is?”

And once again, we realise,

The world is not what we think it is.
