An Ode To My Anchor

I cannot fathom the existence of your worry

The thoughts that plague you that you are not good enough

I wish you’d see yourself through my eyes

The tiny wrinkles around your eyes remind me of the hillocks that garn this planet

Those hillocks that offer me solemn peace

You forehead has these wrinkles, you say you grew old, you condemn it

It reminds me of the folds in my favourite blanket, that comforts me through my darkest nights and cloudy days

Your eyes they shimmer like the vast and calm ocean underneath the afternoon sun

Your smile holds so much mirth ,it is unimaginable to bring mine into existence without it

You hold so much of strength,it empowers me like the sun that brings light upon this earth

You give and give regardless of how it wrings you dry,you give more and more

Selfless like this planet that holds me close

I cannot fathom life without you

I do not know why you cannot see the beauty that you hold, though I somehow understand

I don’t want to see pain in your eyes,it makes me want to spill all my blood sweat and tears,to work hard so you can live happy and free

It gets lonely here without ,in these hollow corridors

I wait to see my first ever best friend

I wait to see one of my  biggest sources of inspiration

I yearn and aspire to be as strong, kind and selfless as you one day
