A HANDSHAKE

By Shubh Kirti

You talk about kisses? A handshake made me numb,

Is it normal or maybe I got abnormal goosebump.

Thereafter felt like not washing my hand,

To scream out loud in happiness or bury in sand.

To feel the warmth and softness of his palm,

Instantly made me loose all my calm.

Handshake with him while he beautifully smiles,

Wish “we” are meant to go together ahead miles.

To feel the cloud nine in that nano second handshake,

All the drowsiness gone and I was totally awake.

Maybe it is meant to be like this with the person you like?

Maybe not even a thing to hype?

But still it was the best part of the day,

Manifesting more moments like this on the way.
