A Dog'S Soliiloquy

By Christina Mary John

An Evening Spent looking at mountains,

Marvelling at waterfalls gushing like fountains!

Talking of Dreams for the night to bring,

Would they have adventures so great?

Or little birds that soar and sing?

An Evening Spent on the rock,

As dusk falls, a long talk!

About the happenings of the day,

How I tracked Monkeys and Shekrus,

How, from the street, in wandered a stray!

An Evening Spent in the rolling fog,

A conversation between Man and Dog!

Of things so random- Like the stars of night,

The Owls so Wise

And The Moon so Bright!

An Evening Spent just between friends,

An Evening that I hope, never ends!
