Is it really a crime,
To believe in equality,
Something against which
People show their monstrosity?!
Is it really a crime,
To be with the person you love the most,
Irrespective of their colour or caste but
Hatred is something with which you are dosed?!
Oh God, what sin had I committed?
That I had to be beaten to death,
By the hands of those people,
Who were eager to hear my last breath.
Oh God, What wrong had I done?
That I couldn’t even love my wife,
Nor sing lullabies to my child,
That it was destined for me to live a short life.
What would happen to them now?
When my child would hear about the fathers of his friends,
When he would have nothing but “a bloody evening” to tell about his.
When my mother would recall the days when I was young
And when I would be utterly missed by my Mrs.
If what they did to me was wrong, then God,
Let my death be a lesson for mankind,
For people who do not have a heart,
And for those who know that love is blind.
