Envy

By Yashaswi Agrima

I envy the rays

because they shine so much,

I envy the ocean

because they are peaceful,

I envy the mountains

because they hold beauty.

At last, I envy those people

who don't envy.

envy,

where the eyes cry

where the love dies

where the attachment lies

where I consider you mine.

I sigh at nights

thinking of people who smile,

I make my miseries

and never tries to defy.

Today,

I will not surrender

I will not cry,

I will thank the universe

I will thank the divine.

Forgive me,

for not accepting

for not working

for not terminating.

I promise the envy

I will learn you,

for the sake of oneness

I will end you.
