कल रात

मुझसे मिलने खामोशियाँ आई...


जैसे

मैदान-ए-जंग में हारी हों,

ख्याली बंदिशों की मारी हों,

खुद परस्त तो नहीं थी वो

जफ़ा-ए-उलझन की सतायी थी,


कहना तो बहुत कुछ चाहती थी,

मगर,

खामोशियाँ थी...

तो कुछ कह ना पाई थी।


ENGLISH TRANSLATION:


Last night

I encountered silence


Out of the lost battle,

like a captive cattle

not being self centred 

but the confusion rendered 


with endless things to say

it chose to remain unsaid

as the name called

SILENCE
